Cutting Edge Science, Personalized Care

Updated: Jan 15, 2020

“It is more important to know the patient who has the disease than the disease the patient has.” ― Hippocrates

It's been 2500 years since Hippocrates laid out the basic tenants of what a good doctor/patient relationship should look like. While basically everything else about healthcare has changed in the last 2.5 millennia, I believe this relationship is as important now as it was then.

Most people would agree that the medical advancements we've witnessed just in our own lifetimes are nothing short of miraculous. However, this complex, data-driven system does have one major drawback. The relationship between the doctor and the patient has been eroding, as technology, data, and complex systems now stand between the two. This vital relationship should be based on trust, understanding, empathy, and healing--all things that take time.

This is the essence of why I wanted to build the Seeking Wellness program. We can learn more than ever, down to the genetic level, what makes each person unique. Then, I can combine that information with everything I've learned from developing a relationship, to make a truly personalized assessment. From there, we can discuss personal health and wellness goals, and set a path, one step at a time, to achieve them. I am excited to see where this leads, and you're welcome to join me!
